The Hilton Hurghada Plaza Hotel is an old and basic hotel. It has a nice but small sweet water pool with a water bar and warm water (heated in the winter time). Even if the weather is rather cold and windy, you feel comfortable in the warm water. The rooms are very basic and not at all soundproof. You can her the people walking on the hallway (outside your room).

Most tourists are Russian package tourists, some elderly and some younger hotel guests. The location is near the old town (about five to ten minutes walk) but Hurghada has nothing at all that attracts me.

All rates (but some from travel agents) include all inclusive. Cocktails and hard alcohol are not included. Food from the buffet is nothing special but ok. Food from the Italian restaurant (à-la-carte) was exzellent and so was the service in the Italian restaurant.

The hotel cares very much about its HHonors Diamond members, and they make you really feel someone special. I was given the following benefits for free:

• Upgrade to a center suite
• Upgrade to the presidential suite (via eUpgrade for an additional 25 $)
• Transport from/to the airport
• 15 minutes massage
• in-room breakfast
• a huge fruit basket
• one à-la-carte restaurant visit per stay
• and of course all the standard amenities (e.g. access to the fitness center, Internet, etc)

Additionaly I would like to point out the service which was during my whole stay in all aspects between good and perfect. This is certainly the Hilton in Hurghada with the best service and the best benefits for HHonors diamond members.

Construction work started in the beginning of January 2012. It is planned to extend the hotel by about 100+ rooms plus a new large sea water pool is planned. A modern shopping mall is being built next to the hotel.

Would I go there again?
Certainly yes (because of the very good service and the very good HHonors benefits). It's a nice place to collect stays and nights and it allows hotel hoping because there are three hotels in Hurghada.
