I am with Josh...why should children, who occupy a seat, get a discount? I would rather have fares be lower overall to everyone, than give some sort of entitlement discount to children, seniors, etc.
Perhaps as an incentive for people to take their children on trips that they might not take otherwise? I have no idea? Why are there child fares on the TTC and at theme parks and at the movies?
I have travelled with my daughter on AC in the past and have always received a discount on her fare. I was just curious why it would not be applied in this case.
