JK stock and JK metal, well, you're screwed.
JK stock and LH/LX metal, depends on how LH/LX decide to treat these tickets. Based on what the LX agent told me this morning, they are arguing that tickets on JK stock have lost all their value because of JK's bankruptcy and you will not be allowed to check-in for a LX/LH flight holding a ticket issued on JK stock.
Now I don't know whether LX's interpretation is right. What if you have a 680... ticket but a LX flight number? What if you have a 680... ticket but a JK flight number on LX metal? What if you have a 724... ticket but a JK flight number? etc.
I fear the information that the posters received is correct. Anything booked on JK ticket stock is probably lost, no matter if on JK metal or not. But if booked with credit card, you should dispute any charges and should be protected. Also, if the metal is on *A carriers there might be some goodwill solution over the next few days (but would not count on it, and probably not for free).
Not sure with expedia & co. Are they really responsible if they just act as an intermediary on a commission basis? My understanding is they are accepting payment on behalf of the airline, at least for regularly scheduled flights. Potentially different story for charter flights?
