Ahh, brilliant, thanks. That makes sense. I couldn't see why they'd exclude pax coming from a *A hub airport! (Perhaps some of my countrymen caused too much trouble in the lounge?)
Yes, the lounge is airside at EWR, but arriving pax are segregated from departing pax here at EWR...so the only way back in would be with a valid departure boarding pass.
