From my new Chase Visa, I received an e-cert for a category 4 hotel. I could not see how I can use the e-cert to book a hotel room directly from Marriott's website. So I called customer service. They booked it for me (Courtyard Waikiki for June). But after that, my account shows that I have been deducted 20,000 points, and the e-cert is still there. I called customer service again and was told that it would change when the e-cert is issued (?).

It is been over a day, and nothing has changed. I am still down 20,000 points and the e-cert still shows as unused.

Should I be concerned?
