Had to call in, had an excellent aeroplan agent (typical in my experience) and I fed him the flight numbers and dates which he booked in about 20 minutes total. The agent didn't seem at all bothered about any aspect of the routing or MPM.

A question for you New Zealand Airlines experts out there - I'd appreciate any hints about when J availability typically opens up relative to the flight date...thanks
