To give the devil its due, AC performed fairly well today. On the 10:10 am flight to Ottawa there were perhaps 6-8 pax in J, and during the 36 minutes in the air we were offered beverages (orders taken before talke-off, as were papers offered) and an egg-cheese "wrap." Not bad. On the return at 4 pm, I used the priority security line which involved no waiting. The J cabin was full, but the FA's did a full drinks service (with seconds for those who wanted them) as well as the normal aerobar/pretzel snack AND ice cream - the first time I've seen that in a long while ! On both flights the FA's were energetic and pleasant. Perhaps this is a rare event, perhaps the beginning of a turn-around ?
