She came back with the answer I didn't want to hear (but was rather expecting): because I recently had the standard Lloyds Avios Duo cards, my Premier account was considered an "upgrade" and not eligible for any kind of introductory offer. After all, I had received an introductory bonus on the other card, so couldn't expect another bonus. "But no!", I cried. "I did not receive any bonus whatsoever from the other cards" [rather ashamed to admit that here, but it's actually true!]. Even so, if you're had cards before, then not eligible for any introductory bonuses. She didn't say how far back they checked, but I got the impression it could be quite a long time.
I was in the same situation and was waiting on confirmation of getting the 10x offer. I called again at the start of the week to chase them up and they confirmed I could get the points, my point, as you have made was that I never had any bonus from those cards. The only difference is that I shut the account 4 years ago. I didn't get the confirmation in writing but they did say a letter would be sent when I first raised the issue with them
