If it's direct it's the same plane, at BKK you have to stay on the plane on this and the CMB-BKK-HKG flight. Conversely, if transiting SIN they make you get off... Must be port regulations, as opposed to CX's. The gate at SIN is not normally far from the Skyview lounge, which helps.
