What is more worrying is that they seem to admit there was a "problem" with the Avios 10x referral even for people who were 100% eligible and noone has got their bonus points automatically, requiring people to make phone calls in order to claim them.
If it was just a handful of people, ok, computer error.
Since it seems to have happened to EVERYONE, i think it's really dodgy and not the behaviour I would expect from one of the countries oldest financial institutions.
You don't need the services of a lawyer. But it is foolish to accept the word of a call centre employee when your interests are at stake. If they say something cannot be done because of a rule, you should ask them to identify the rule, so you can decide whether they are right or not.
larryflyer is in a different position from the rest of us. Lloyds have told him he is not entitled to the miles (which appears to be wrong). The rest of us have not received our miles when we should, but we have not been told we cannot have them.
