Hi guys,

I got a US$ ICC with the idea of transferring my UK MR points at a conversion rate, and being able to take advantage of the better transfer offers of the US program.

I paid $US35 or so to sign the green ICC up to what I thought was the US MR point program.

Just phoned the number on the green card, my points have been transferred, but no conversion, and was told that the ICC program (despite being a $ card) is identical to the UK program with regard to transfer partners etc. (So no Avios bonus)

Is there a way around this? I seem to remember reading in the past that people were able to join the US program with an ICC - is this still the case, and if so, how?
