You can't really as once you press ' ticket' .. the ticket is being issued. When you call, it would be seen as a change / cancellation . And besides AC res for some reason cannot book SQ flights . I tried once and they just said that they can't see it / can't book it / no flight exists etc. I wanted them to book on SQ in "K" and they said that SQ was not offering it.
Interesting, as I do this all the time. Quite often the website doesn't give me the flights/connections I want, so I book the ticket with a discount code then call an agent to "tweak" my itinerary. As long as you call within 24 hrs, there are no issues.
