The value comes to people who WISH to fly in Business of higher without having to pay the eye watering fares associated therewith. Right. My goal isn't to travel "at great value"... my goal is to travel for as little money as I have to pay while being accommodated as well as I can be. I am currently working on the SPG Amex spend for the 30k bonus which, in my opinion, has far greater value than Avios points. But opinions aside, $1818 + 200K is indeed terrible value for 2 business class rewards when you can get the same award on a different airline for the same amount, or even less miles, and significantly less (or none at all) surcharges.
Maybe I am wrong, but I really don't like having to pay $900+ in fees per ticket.
