I'm surprised this is even a discussion..... I can't imagine paying $2200 to move up 1 mid-level of status. You've got to be kidding.

Face it, with TOD's, YUPs, etc, etc, the likelihood of getting an upgrade as a Gold is 'not gonna happen' and the likelihood of getting an upgrade as a Plat is 'probably not gonna happen'.
