Actually, I think $1818 (+ Avios points) for 2 business class seats JFK-CDG is pretty good value. Even excellent if that's for a return flight.
Just think about how much you would have to pay if you were paying cash for those seats, and you might find $1818 + Avios points to be rather good value.
