Its not enough to require airlines to merely "print information about baggage allowances and fees on the e-ticket confirmation". Baggage fees are an unfair revenue gimmick that is most likely to catch the infrequent traveler (who need the most protection from DOT rules) off-guard. Its also gives the airlines a bad reputation for nickel & diming travelers.
Can't agree with you here. The ticket price you incur is the price you incur - with taxes. Whether you choose to accept or take advantage of certain other services (checked baggage, etc.), is a choice.
