The sub-fleet of 757-200s they use for Hawaii were acquired from ATA and have a different first class. The seats have small leg rests that pop out and are pretty comfortable for longer rides. They have overhead video although I cannot recall if they actually use it or not from my last flight.
The one complaint people have of these ships is they don't have overhead air vents and can be a bit stuffy. That has never been my experience but it's true there is no individual way to control air flow, so that may be something to keep in mind.
Depending on where you're going and when you are going there, another option may be to route through SFO. They are running BizElite-equipped 757s right now on their afternoon SFO-HNL flight which is a great treat. From LAX the HNL flights are all 767 or 757-300 at the moment.
