9 days?! That's a bit tight for a honeymoon. If the vacation is this short, I would normally think about somewhere closer; SE Asia might be a bit far. If you add the jet lag into the mix... a closer destination looks even better.

This is debatable. My wife and I have
survived very long flights in Y (think Europe to Hawai`i and the like). If you have the means to travel J (cash or miles) then of course Y
sounds brutal.
My advice: try something a non-popular location in Mexico or Central America. The Caribbean during Spring Break does
not make a great honey moon. Hawai`i is also a decent option.
