i am not sure. i think it may be related to the GUM-HKG only operated on F/M
in order for UA to get the two narrow bodies to HKG for SIN/SGN flight.
one is a daily NRT HKG (from GUM NRT HKG SGN and back)
the other rotation is GUM HKG SIN HKG GUM. so. it does make sense for the cutback.
