Several weeks ago, after booking an Expedia package to DC, I went over to the AS website, input my PNR and selected seats. The choices were miserable --I even had to take a middle seat for the outbound transscon-- but I figured I'd check back closer to the flight and get something better.

At the 72 hour mark I dutifully went online and found reasonable seats: a exit row window for the redeye and a window for the transcon. Just now, hoping to snag a better transcend seat, I went in and found that BOTH my seats had been changed and I was back in a middle seat SEA-DCA. The Gold desk ('This is Shurl') was unable to get back my old seats, leaving me to fend for myself at the airport late night tomorrow.

Does anyone have any decent options for me? I'm inclined to cancel the outbound and buy a CO o/w. Man, AS is is annoying.
