Welcome to FT! I imagine your belongings will proceed through the X-ray as usual. Typically the carry-on x-ray takes much longer than the WTMD, so even with the delay created by having to deal with the scanners, I don't imagine your belongings will sit for very long.

Unfortunately, since you're flying out of MAN, you're kinda out of luck: No UK opt-out on airport body scanners - and to add insult to injury, the article seems to indicate that MAN is equipped with backscatter, not MMW.
