I read on this website that the Galleries and First lounge do not open until 8.00 am (time of daparture of the flight).
Does anyone know if alternatives are provided to BA passengers or maybe vouchers to redeem in one of the Coffee Shops in Terminal 7 ?

Yes, I did on my way back from St Martin.
The Lounges were both open at 6.15. and the Perrier Jouet was open and out in the F lounge (this was early January). I do not usually start drinking that day but it was the last day of my holiday and I did not have to drive home from LHR. There was delicious smoked salmon (I seemed to eat that all day that day) to go with it or the usual over sweetened cereals if you preferred. The croissants were all quite fresh and there was plenty of everything.
The Lounges were guarded by a delightful lady and really the time went quickly by. Boarding was the usual slightly chaotic process thanks to this stupid nonsense that they have to deliver any duty free to the jetway as opposed to you carrying it yourself (why?) and then secuirty guard stopping everyone else (again).
So - enjoy - everything is open. I love the day flights - you get home - got bed wake up at the correct time the next day and jet lag is banished. Perfect.
