I'm just looking to do a quick trip to London in July to see a concert. Two CX return business class fares are HK$91,000 in the cheapest I class, no Asia Miles tickets available for purchase or upgrades. Hong Kong Airlines are HK$36,000 for two tickets. Perhaps the meal won't be quite as appetising as on Cathay, maybe I need to bring my ipad to keep us entertained but I have more than enough miles to requalify as a diamond. Since I can do a lot with my spare HK$55,000 when we get to London, Hong Kong Airlines it is. I might be a loyal CX flyer but when it's my money, some competition's always a good thing (at least to check it out).
