With the other way round - AA codeshare on BA metal, it worked fine until Thursday morning of last week and now the BA system cannot pull up a choice of seats.
(My BA Number is in the res so the reservations appears in my BA Account)
This second data point may indicate that a change of systems did actually occur. I was also able to pick seats last month when I booked in the exact same manner.
