I am looking for a lunch recommendation at a reasonably nice restaurant near Manchester Picadilly station (this is a subset of the above request). So far the selection on Yelp looks pretty slim.

Regarding hotels, I stayed once at the Lowry hotel which is supposed to be very good. The room was large but the staff/service was terrible. Wouldn't stay there again.
