sorry but if I had the tkt the OP had no way would I ever have gotten on to that NRT-SEA flight in Y! If EQMs on DL was important then I would have had DL book me on another ST partner. Heck KE is now flying its A380 to the US

otherwise I would have had them FIM over to whomever had C space, anything but Y
