ICN destination & HKG as stopover from US. Best routing?

Hi,

I'm newer to *A ticketing so hopefully I can get some help here. We are looking to fly to ICN and HKG from PHL this November. I was reading up on this and was wondering what the best routing would be. Our destination can is ICN and then a stopover in HKG but which is the best routing to do a stopover in the HKG, should we fly to HKG first or ICN first? I read that in order to do a stopover on a *A carrier, you must fly that airline into their hub city. So for ICN, thats Asiana and HKG thats Air New Zealand. So for example, we'll be booking with continental miles so if we fly to ICN on CO, would we have to fly ANZ in order to stopover in HKG(vice versa if we fly into HKG first and stopover in ICN using Asiana), and then fly home to PHL on whatever carrier we can find? I guess my main question is what is the best routing to do this itinerary and with which airline? Also, we are definitely going to ICN and then HKG was just an added stopover, but if anyone has any other suggestions on 1 stopover in Asia, i'm open to suggestions.

Thanks
