It doesn't matter, at some hotels the person who has the hilton honors account has to present themselves at the front desk for any benefits to be released.
It doesn't matter whose name is in the reservation
It doesn't matter whose account number is used
It doesn't matter who pays (not counting master billing which is a totally different thing)
What matters is who stays at the hotel
