But that's not the point. The point is that they ARE getting something out of this, that being business that they wouldn't otherwise have had. Are you telling me that a free breakfast and wifi isn't worth it if a hotel is getting $200 they would't have otherwise gotten? I would think so...
Just don't start complaining when you don't get benefits at some time or another. If you feel it is perfectly fine to not follow the published rules, then don't complain when a hotel feels it is perfectly fine to not follow the published rules.
