I would like to suggest that when some one clicks on a user's name that it brings up a quick menu (kinda of like tool tips) that allows the following:
View Profile
View other posts.
Send PM
Add as Contact
Add to Ignore List

FUTR. I'm used to the same functionality on another BB. Pretty sure IB is aware how popular this option is.
