I apologize if I am posting this in the wrong forum...

I will be flying from Houston to LHR and connecting to MUC. I know I need to change terminals and go through security again. The final leg of the flight does not allow seat selection until you get to LHR. In LHR Terminal 1 can I do this at the counters inside security or do I need to go to the Lufthansa counter prior to security?

More importantly to my husband, is there a pub past security where he can get a pint?
