Greetings All

With the Starwood SPG point sale before the New Year
20k for $560 dollars for SPG point purchases made some serious sense
20k equals 25,000 frequent flyer miles might be a good value for some aspirational award if redeeming for miles
And Cash and Points and buy 4 nights get one free could also justify the purchase in some instances or a Nights and Flights award

In the case of Hyatt $960 approx dollars buys the same 25,000 frequent flyer miles.
In most cases thats a really bad value proposition
For free night redemption or points/miles
Hyatt Stay Certificates even with their massive devaluation and category creep
still in most cases would be of greater value as shared previously.

Hyatt Revenue rates may still be typically cheaper than buying these points at many Hyatt hotels and one would earn stay credit and points and hopefully sometime again sometime in this new year or the near future in conjunction a promotion
I would seriously still have to consider even at 40% off.
Cheers
