HONG KONG - The Civil Aviation Department has approved applications by Cathay Pacific Airways, Singapore Airlines and All Nippon Airways (ANA) to reduce passenger fuel surcharges, the Dow Jones news agency reported Thursday.
The fuel surcharge for short-haul flights operated by Cathay, Singapore Airlines and All Nippon Airways will fall 5 per cent to HK$215 per journey, the report said. Surcharges for Cathay's and Singapore Airlines' long-haul flights will be reduced by 8 per cent to HK$988.
