There is another hotel with restaurant close to the JW in Guanacaste--but nearest town is at least 20 minutes away with some dirt road to navigate. There is also a casual restaurant about 20 minutes walk away along the beach--good food, great prices.
Have stayed at Marriott in St Kitts and seen Marriott in Grand Cayman. Latter seemed very bland--much like the Marriott in Curacau.
Really enjoyed the Marriott St. Kitts when staying there soon after it opened--and the area is gorgeous, with a fair amount to do if you are looking for activities.
If I had to choose one of the above, would definitely choose the JW.
