Thanks all. Understand the lack of sympathy. Should have thought harder about the itinerary when i booked Have spoken to Qantas and there is currently availability out of LAX in my fare class a day later. I also have travel insurance that i think should cover any additional costs but would prefer not to test it out.

If there is a storm waiver a will keep an eye on the weather and perhaps try to get out tomorrow night or Saturday morning.
