I always use my Nexus card with the TSA. I never have any trouble in SEA but they don't like it very much in DFW. I frequently am asked for a driver license and say I don't carry one so they check with their superior. Without exception the two/three-striper allows it after a quick glance. Not everyone at the TSA is completely incompentent. But seriously, it has a raised plane imprinted on it...
I use my passport card. Never had anyone have any issue with it. I have the GE card and thought about using it, but my picture on it isn't very good, so even though it's valid, I feel I might get a little hassle. Passport card always works fine.
