I live 4 miles from the Eagle airport, EGE, and it is fondly referred to being in the banana belt, it rarely closes and is 1 1/2 hr form EGE. I would be proactive and call to get rebooked the second it looks like ASE might close. sorry I don't know the answers to your other questions
