As anyone seen 12v dc power on board? What kind of outlet is there with 12V dc? After informing that they can only provide 12V dc, KLM has not responded to my query about the type of outlet.
AC Power on planes is always 110V because plugging in a 220V-only adapter into a 110V socket won't break it, whereas doing the reverse will. Also the multi-standard sockets accept 110V plugs and as such can't provide more and be rated for safety.
EmPower (DC) runs at 15V.
Anyway, KLM does not have power in Y except on B737-[4789]00 where the first 10 rows (which double as Europe Business Class seats) have two power outlets per three seats. Perhaps if you ask beforehand for medical equipment, some other arrangement is made; with this I have no experience.
Actually the easiest thing to provide for on a plane would be 115V but at 400Hz.
