I understand what you're saying, but if there are any flight delays or cancellations you're going to have some big problems. There was a just a thread the other day where a guy was unable to book a flight out of Samui (I can't find it at the moment).

I've never actually stayed at Ko Samui (just had a connecting flight there), but have stayed at Hua Hin. It was nice.
