Premium products of any kind are not prima facie "offensive" just because you personally don't see the value in them.
A car lasts for years, this is a seat for several hours. The value you receive (in dollars it costs the airline) for the price you pay is vastly incongruent. A car is also a physical thing that you own, you're renting that seat for less than half a day.
