This is a question of budget priorities. I drive a car that is old enough to vote, live in a 1000 square foot condo, etc. while I could afford to do otherwise.

I'll buy business class tickets at the right price (think Z fares - under $2K to Europe in the summer or for Thanksgiving is common and coach fares can be $1500 for summer trips). I can't imagine any amount of money I'd have that would make me consider it worth $10K for the same ticket.
