During 2011, I earned enough miles for Elite status (35,000+ miles) for 2012. I understand that officially, my Elite status starts in March 2012. But yesterday I was on a flight from Las Vegas to Toronto, and they offered me 3 bags checked free of charge. I believe the standard on AC is 1, and 3 for Elite status. Did/does this mean that I have Elite status now? I haven't received my card yet!
