Plus free Priority Pass, which may or may not be worth it. (It is to me - yes, I know it's $25 to get into a lounge even using PP - but I live in BNA, which is dominated by WN. This lessens my chances of earning elite status, i.e. lounge access, with other airlines.)

Frankly, if they're going to do this they need to get on it. I just decided to downgrade from Diamond to Gold. Also to move about half my yearly spend to Chase (away from Amex PR Gold and Surpass) even though I'd much prefer to stay with Amex due to their superior customer service.

Hilton has removed WN as a transfer partner and devalued its program severely. If Amex wants to retain Surpass cardmembers, they need to do something to help make the Hilton program worthwhile.

I'd probably pay $95 for guaranteed Gold (except that of course it'll mean that Hilton will further reduce benefits of Gold members...)
