Just enjoyed a super weekend in Edinburgh with the in-laws, including a couple of visits to the shops on Princes St. But I have one question - perhaps not the best place to ask it - but I am sure someone here will know the answer:

On Princes St in the famous Jenners department store (a superb shop, and part of the House of Fraser 'chain'). Why then, a little further down the same road is there another department store called Frasers (also part of House of Frasers).

Do the two not find this a little OTT? I'd never noticed it before but then I haven't been shopping in Edinburgh for many years...

Having visited both, I would say Jenners is the far superior of the two...
