I have largely ignored this thread since it strayed so far off topic, but my opinion of the original topic is that this is nothing more than some sort of tactic by DL to gain information. Force US to make public it's plans, gain access to AA proprietary info, etc. Sure, AA has some assets that DL would love to get its hands on, but let's be real... AA isn't going anywhere. It's not going to be broken up, it's not going to liquidate. They will use the bankruptcy process like every other major carrier has done over the last decade to shed debt and emerge a stronger carrier. There's nothing to see here, move along (my opinion, of course, and could be completely off).
