Courtyard never offered free breakfast as a published benefit, so if you were getting it, lucky you!

As others have said, it is really 6 of one half dozen of the other. I prefer HGI to CY, and Homewood Suites to RInn....but FInns to Hamptons, and Marriott's to Hiltons in most cases.

The only time I really and truly care about breakfast is on vacation at resorts... I make sure I earn Hyatt Diamond for those and (also) full service weekend stays. So breakfast is always available...but many times there aren't locations where we want to go!

For us? No one chain fits all our needs.
