The most extensive catalog of the world’s languages, generally taken to be as authoritative as any, is that of the Ethnologue organization
(http://www.ethnologue.com), whose detailed classified list currently includes 6,809 distinct languages.

Am am not a TSA fan but hopefully the TSA is taking steps to teach all of its employees to be fluent in all of the languages of the world. Suspect that it may take a while.
After that are dialects and regional accents......
