There is a dedicated forum called Coupon Connection where FTes can make trades of this kind, but you need to be a member for at least 6 months and have at least 180 posts here (from my experience the requirements are much higher..).

A possible solution with the least monetary cost for you would be to find someone with Free nights certificates from HH's Q4 promo (if your trip is in the next months) and trade them with Marriott Checks purchased at 135.000 MR pts per $1000 (if you hold status with MR). That way both parties would avoid any monetary cost, plus both the certificates and the checks are usable by anyone!
