Oh dear, that doesn't sound like good news. I don't know whether to go back once now that the renovation is complete, try Lex, or give up on Hyatt NY entirely until the PH is complete. For me, Andaz is still right out, the absence of blackout curtains/shades and the presence of motion sensors are dealkillers.

Fortunately I don't have any NYC trips planned right now so can just put off the decision. Sigh....
