On the longer transpacific leg, premium economy serve the exact same meal as Y, all you are going to get is a slight wider seat 2-4-2 compare to 3-3-3, and slighly more legroom.
Yeah, I saw the 31" pitch. Ugh. I think my preferred option would be going TATL with Turkish to HKG, all on Comfort Class, and then just a quick Philippines Air connection into MNL.
